Obama said that Egypt will not be the same country

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama said that Egypt will not return to the country that was now pro-democracy protests that have shaken the Arab country the last two weeks.

In an interview broadcast on Fox television on Sunday before the Super Bowl, Obama said it is clear that the Egyptian people want freedom and free and fair elections.

Asked if the Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak, will leave office before, Obama said that Mubarak only knows what's going to do at this point.

Obama said he hoped that a representative government in Egypt is that the U.S. can work with a partner.

Video: Stephen Curry hits Dorell Wright for a 70-foot alley-oop

Thursday night was about to reserve selections All-Star game, a fact that was underlined by the fact that TNT showed two games with eight All-Stars in total. They were certainly the two exciting matches, with both down to the final seconds.

But in a night full of stars of energy both nationally televised, the most striking work was in the local game broadcast between the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks in Oakland. With about 3:30 left in the first quarter, Golden State, Stephen Curry (notes) found Dorell Wright (notes) from 3-point line for an alley-oop. Except it was the front line of 3 points. That's about 70 feet, if necessary a numerical calculation.

It is particularly surprising because I'm not even sure I was going to be an alley-oop. What Wright does here with the catch and the finish is amazing - which is fielding the right to pass under the basket and put on the back with bases loaded in one motion.

Do not get me wrong, the two sets of TNT were good Thursday night. However, viewing this work, as happened was more exciting than the rest of the action on Thursday night of the NBA combined.

Jon Jones: 'I'm going to win this fight' against 'Shogun' Rua at UFC 128

On the same night Anderson Silva successfully defended his middleweight title against Vitor Belfort (oh, that front kick), Jon Jones was busy winning his first title shot in the UFC light heavyweight now in the hands of Mauricio "Shogun" Rua . "Bones", which was choked with Ryan Bader in the second round of their UFC bout 126 co-star. When the night began, Jones was aware of the knee injury his teammate Rashad Evans, but had no idea of the UFC had plans to offer a shot at the title after his victory. Just six weeks after its date of March 19 with the 205-pound kingpin, the product Greg Jackson says he has no fear of travel to come and is taking the gold for himself. Well, we know that Jones believes he will win - right?

'Whoa, what was that?' Paul Kelly cheap shot on Donald Cerrone at UFC 126

British fighters have a reputation of strikers, but who knew that Paul Kelly UFC 126 opened against Donald Cerrone with a low blow? "Cowboy" asked "Tellys" if I wanted to touch gloves once the referee gave the nod to start the fight and the British decided it was a good opportunity to exploit your opponent and catch him off guard. It did not work too well, and that was quickly removed and, finally, presented in the second round with a rear naked choke. In the end, everything is fine as both fighters received a hefty $ 75,000 for "Fight of the Night" and Cerrone is now officially 1-0 in his career in the UFC. Cheap shot aside, it sounds like a good time for me.

UFC 126 Silva vs. Belfort Results: Varied Night For California, Anderson Silva Scores Huge KO

We do our best to find the Bay Area or California ties here at SB Nation Bay Area, and there were five fighters with ties to California in action tonight at the Ultimate Fighting Championship "UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort "card. But first, a quick summary of the main explosive event because I'm a sucker for MMA. Vitor Belfort is supposed to be the man who entered and serious to Silva in the standup. It was the first great striker that Silva will face at some point.

Yes about that.

In fact, it was pretty close. Belfort actually looked at first like you're going to give Silva a run for their money. They have not been involved for about two minutes, and when they did, Belfort seems to make the best of it. Belfort connected with a kick, and then actually pulled off a coup before Silva combined reversed. The two stood in front of us and then ... Silva movies leg in the air and lands of the most profane front kick to the face I've ever seen. Belfort falls and Silva as he no longer going to wait to get up but then drops a bit more Belfort and Silva realizes the fight is over. The swarm, land a few blows and removed.

All I can say is "Wow!" I've never seen a front kick, someone unaware they basically do well, especially someone like Vitor Belfort. That is the strength of Anderson Silva, however, striking is its unconventional way, I do not know where something is coming. Just brutal.

Star split

Kyle Kingsbury, a native of Sunnyvale, California, and fighting out of San Jose, won his fight in the domain of fashion. Dropped a beautiful Ricardo Romero left hand while trying to escape being pinned against the cage, and was surrounded immediately before the fight was stopped. It was the third straight Kingsbury, all in the UFC.

Things are not going so well for Gabe Ruediger although in his fight with the British striker Paul Taylor. Rueda, a native of Topanga Canyon, CA (fighting out of Van Nuys, CA) was completely dominated by the impressive Taylor ultra-precise, and in the second round succumbed to a vicious one-two combo with a missing head to finish things.

Antonio Banuelos, a native of Tulare, California, and the struggle of Arroyo Grande, CA was completely frustrated by the remarkable style based on a reach advantage crazy former champion Miguel Angel Torres. Banuelos was unable to obtain a short distance from the most fought and lost a unanimous decision.

The most impressive victory for a California wine for Chad Mendes Sacramento, CA. Michihiro Omigawa Mendes faced a highly touted fighter from Japan, and dominated it through three rounds. Mendes used to clear, beating Omigawa hurt in the second round and never seemed to recover. Add to that a fighting game top Japanese fighters have yet to overcome, and Mendes now I approach a future titleshot against featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

2-2 for children in California tonight, folks.
